The direct investment portfolio currently consists of thirteen onshore wind farms with newly constructed wind turbines in windy regions of Northern and Eastern Germany, which were acquired since April 2015. The modern turbines from renowned manufacturers are in full operation and benefit from fixed feed-in tariffs in accordance with the German Renewable Energy Act. With a total nominal output of around 150 MW, the wind farms display above-average electricity production.
In October 2015, we also invested in a diversified portfolio consisting of 10 solar parks in Spain. The parks are located in Extremadura in the southeast of the country, in Castilla Leon in the northwest and on the Mediterranean island of Majorca. They have been in operation since between 2011 and 2013 and have a total nominal output of 26.71 MWp.
In addition to direct investments, the Infrastructure Portfolio Management division also manages its customers’ equity investments in institutional fund products, promoting investor interests vis-à-vis the fund managers and co-investors. The investments here include funds relating to renewable energies and storage facilities. The volume of assets under management in this segment amounts to approximately EUR 300 million.
